Eagles Nest
This Friday PRACTICE WILL BE AT BENTLEY.  We will be busy hanging banners and decorating for Homecoming.  We will have IN PERSON Eagles Nest where we will be selling pizza and sports drinks at the concession stand.  We will have a limited quantity of LOUD CUPS for sale with the Livonia Eagles logo. First come first serve and once they are gone, they are gone for the season.  They will be $25 each.  


Homecoming
Homecoming is this Saturday, September 21st! This years theme is DISCO.  All homecoming banners need to be dropped at the POD by Sept 19!!!  Practice will be at Bentley this Friday night, so if you can't drop your banner at the POD, bring it to Bentley this Friday night, the 20th. All banners should have grommets or holes at the corners in order to zip tie them to the fence.  Be on the lookout for important information from your coaches!  We are in need of convertibles of our 8th graders. During each halftime our cheerleaders will be performing a pom routine.  The first parade will be prior to start of the freshman game and then at each halftime after that.  Keep in mind - your player might not be able to participate during the halftime of their game as coaches need that time to coach their team prior to the 2nd half.  That means if your player wants to participate in the parades- they will either need to come early or stay later in order to participate.  The ceremony for the outgoing 8th graders and their families will be prior to start of the JV game. Parents will need to gather on the track at the beginning of the 4th quarter.  

Player Conduct
It is the parents/guardians responsibility to monitor their children. When your son or daughter is not playing/cheering in the game - they should not be on the track or the field. We've witnessed numerous kids playing on Bentley Hill. Most times it's just kids watching the game but this week we had kids fighting on the hill and talking back to adults who intervened. This is unacceptable, a code of conduct violation and NOT something we want to see out of our Eagles. Please keep players and cheerleaders off the track, the field, the hill and on the bleachers if they are not playing/cheering in the game or practicing for their game. 

24 Hour Rule
The "24 Hour Rule" is a rule that we've adopted that simply states that coaches will not discuss a game or situation in a game until at least 24 hours after the fact. Parents/guardians are not allowed to confront a coach, team, player, board member or league official to discuss anything negative until at least 24 hours have passed. This rule is intended to promote a more constructive and respectful approach to handling issues, and to prevent misunderstandings from escalating. Please refer to the Code of Conduct that was signed in the beginning of season for more information regarding this and Player Conduct.

Eagles Gear SWAP - SEPT 20th
This is the last week for Eagles Gear Donations! Do you have old Eagles shirts and camp pack items that no longer fit you or your kids?  Cheer shoes, cleats etc?  We are going to try something new this year and organize an Eagles Swag Swap.  There will be a bin at practice over by the football POD/ bathrooms where we will be collecting shirts, shoes, shorts, sweatshirts - any old Eagles gear you want to pass down to the next generation of fans. All donations need to be in by Sept 19th so we can organize and have out prior to Eagles Nest on Sept 20th.  As soon as the table is set up it will be first come, first serve. 
 

The BIG Game @ Eastern Michigan University Spirit Store is OPEN
On October 6, 2024 the Livonia Eagles will play the Livonia Orioles at Eastern Michigan's Rynearson Stadium.  All spectators will need to purchase a ticket to gain entrance into the stadium. In preparation for this game, The Livonia Eagles Football online store has been launched.
