Parents - your players received brand new football pants this year. In order to keep them nice for many years to come, please do not wash them with fabric softener.
2024 LIVONIA 3-WAY SCRIMMAGE @RILEY UPPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
We are excited to kick off our season with the 3-way scrimmage and foster an environment of a positive season. CHEER DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE SCRIMMAGE. This is for football only. Due to some facility issues at Bentley we are moving the scrimmage to Riley Upper Elementary School. There will not be concessions. Please plan to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on and sit back at least 10 feet from the field so no one gets hurt when 2 or more padded football players fall out of bounds tackling each other. For this weekend, please ensure your units keep their focus on teaching, developing, positive attitudes, team work and community. There is no scoreboard, lets have fun and set the tone for a memorable season!
Parking – Parking may be challenging. Parking areas are identified in red on the map. Please be sure to not block entry ways, exits and driveways.

Scrimmage Format – Freshman/JV
Period 1, 10 minutes – Team 1 developmental on offense, Team 2 developmental on defense
Period 2, 10 minutes – Team 1 on offense, Team 2 on defense for starters (1 minute break after)
Period 3, 10 minutes – Team 1 on offense, Team 2 on defense for non-starters
4 Minute HALF
Period 4, 10 minutes – Team 2 developmental on offense, Team 1 developmental on defense
Period 5, 10 minutes – Team 2 on offense, Team 1 on defense for starters (1 minute break after)
Period 6, 10 minutes – Team 2 on offense, Team 1 on defense for non-starters
Scrimmage Format – Flag/Varsity
Quarter 1, 15 minutes – Team 1 on offense, Team 2 on defense for starters (1 minute break after)

Eagles Nest
In person Eagles Nest Unit Pep Rally and Meeting will be this Friday. Our cheerleaders will perform by squad. We will be selling pizza and Gatorade. We are wearing Black Game Socks this year. We will have game socks for sale for $5. Also for sale will be hardwood bonfire bundles supplied by Dukes Hardwood; a small business stated by Varsity Football player Vince Duke. He will be donating 10% of sales back to the Eagles as a thank you for the support this past summer.
Eagles Gear SWAP MEET
Do you have old Eagles shirts and camp pack items that no longer fit you or your kids? Cheer shoes, cleats etc? We are going to try something new this year and organize an Eagles Swag Swap Meet later this season. There will be a bin at practice over by the football POD/ bathrooms where we will be collecting shirts, shoes, shorts, sweatshirts - any old Eagles gear you want to pass down to the next generation of fans. Once we have a good collection we will share the date and everything will go out on a table and up for grabs, first come, first serve. The bin will be out there starting this Friday at Eagles Nest.
Raffle
LAST DAY TO DROP OFF RAFFLE TICKETS WILL BE FRIDAY 8/16/24 - 6:00-8:00
We will NOT be contacting anyone for their ticket stubs, so making sure stubs are turned in is YOUR responsibility.

Key Volunteer Spots
We are looking for someone to take over for our Volunteer Coordinator, PINK Out Chair and Concessions Coordinator. Ideally, this person will have several years left in the Eagles Organization as these jobs carry over year to year and take some effort to train. This year you would shadow those folks currently in those positions so you can take off running next year. Physicals/ SE Document Uploads
Prior to the start of the season all players and cheerleaders must have a physical uploaded into Sports Engine. Shawn will on hand on Tuesday, August 13 at the concession stand during picture day to assist with uploading documents into Sports engine. This is the only day he will be onsite assisting with uploads.
Final Schedule
The annual City Scrimmage will be August 17, 2024. This is an opportunity for all 4 Livonia teams to scrimmage each other prior to the first game. Schedules will be provided closer to the event. Cheerfest has been officially moved to Saturday October 26th.
