Hello Eagles Parents,
We hope you enjoy a few days off this weekend. No practice on Monday September 6. Here are a few notes for the upcoming week.
Football Practice
As in past years, as school starts and it begins getting darker earlier we adjust practice times. All teams were notified last week practice has been cut by 30 min and now ends at 7:30 pm. Please make sure you arrive on time to pick your player up.
Eagles Nest Pizza
We hope everyone has been enjoying our Friday Night Eagles Nests. Big thanks to those who have donated Gatorade. Pizza has sold out every week so far. If you would like to guarantee that your family will be able to get pizza we are offering the opportunity to pre-purchase an entire pizza (cheese or pepperoni) for a discounted rate of $18. If you wish to pre-order please Venmo Amanda Duke (@AmandaDuke17200) and include if you want pepperoni or cheese in your Venmo notes. We are only taking pre-orders for whole pizzas with 100% payment in advance. Please make sure you choose "Venmo between friends". We are NOT a business. If we receive a payment that has tax taken out your order will not be accepted. All orders must be received and paid for by Tuesday September 7 at noon.
Down Syndrome Awareness Game
On October 1st, we are playing the Livonia Orioles (they are the home team), and they have invited us to join in on their Down Syndrome awareness game. They have a cheerleader with down syndrome and want to bring awareness and participate in Down Syndrome awareness month. This is a fundraising game and proceeds will go to 2 different organizations here in Michigan.
We have decided to participate with them and we will be providing the girls with bows to wear for the game. The Orioles have also provided us with a shirt order form that is open and available to everyone (girls and parents/family). Orders are due September 9th. Shirts for the cheerleaders are $10 each and $15 each for family members who would like to purchase as well. Orders and money can be turned in to either Heather or Miranda. It would be so great to show that the Eagles give their support for this awesome cheerleader and others born with Down Syndrome. Football players please wear blue or yellow socks.
YETI Cooler Raffle
This season we will be conducting a season long raffle to win a Yeti cooler full of adult beverages and accessories. We will be selling tickets through out the season at home games, Eagles Nests etc. beginning Homecoming Weekend. The raffle will be held at the end of the year banquet.
To help us raise some money for some pretty big expenses coming up, we are looking for donations to fill the cooler. Bottles of wine, alcohol, beer, glasses, gift cards and accessories, etc. Anything you can donate we will gladly accept. There will be a bin at the POD everyday during practice to drop your donations off in. If you have any question please contact Celestina ([email protected]) or any Director.
We will also be participating in change wars at the concession stand. Football v. Cheer. All change collected goes to offsetting the cost of the item listed on the bins.
Picture Day
Date changed to 9/7/22. ALL PARTICIPANTS NEED TO HAVE THEIR PICTURE TAKEN!!!! Even if you are not buying a package, your cheerleader/ player needs their photo taken for the yearbook. thepicturedaypros.com

Because picture day is close to Homecoming/ Family Day we can not confirm that you will have your photo's back in time to use for your banners. Please be thinking about alternative options. Ask your team photographer to take a photo of your child for you or download a game photo from our yearbook Shutterfly account. In some cases if you are using an online resource to have your banner made you will need to account for shipping time. In the past we have used Overnight Signs & Banner on 5 Mile in Livonia as well as stickerbanners.com, vistaprint.com., and Pro Design Graphics.
Key Volunteer Meeting
This coming week we will meet Wednesday @ 6pm. We are still looking for Key Volunteers to join the PINK OUT committee. If you wish to join to fulfill your volunteer spots this year please contact Lisa Minutolo or come to the meeting. ([email protected])

We will be holding an online Eagles merch pop-up shop. The shop closes on 9/18 @ 11:59pm. Orders will not be accepted after that time.
