Key Volunteer Meeting
We will be having a volunteer meeting this week on Friday at the POD at 6:00pm  All Team Moms and Key Volunteers should plan on attending if possible.  

Individual/ Team Photos
All picture day orders have been delivered.  Team Mom's will be passing out all orders this week during practice.  

Eagles Nest
In person Eagles Nest Unit Pep Rally and Meeting will be this Friday.  Our cheerleaders will perform by squad. We will be selling pizza and Gatorade.  We are wearing Black Game Socks this year. We will have game socks for sale for $5.   Also for sale will be hardwood bonfire bundles supplied by Dukes Hardwood; a small business stated by Varsity Football player Vince Duke. He will be donating 10% of sales back to the Eagles as a thank you for the support this past summer.  

Eagles Gear SWAP MEET
Do you have old Eagles shirts and camp pack items that no longer fit you or your kids?  Cheer shoes, cleats etc?  We are going to try something new this year and organize an Eagles Swag Swap Meet later this season.  There will be a bin at practice over by the football POD/ bathrooms where we will be collecting shirts, shoes, shorts, sweatshirts - any old Eagles gear you want to pass down to the next generation of fans. Once we have a good collection we will share the date and everything will go out on a table and up for grabs, first come, first serve.  The bin will be out everyday at practice. 

The BIG Game @ Eastern Michigan University Spirit Store is OPEN

As with last year, a ticket to the game against the Livonia Orioles at Eastern Michigan University is included with the purchase of a crewneck or hoodie.  Also - tons of brand new Eagles merch has been added.  More details to come as it gets closer but if you want BIG Game apparel order now.  Store closes Wednesday, September 18 at 11:59 PM.
 


Yard Signs
If you ordered a yard sign, they will be available for pickup at Eagles Nest this Friday night. 

New Football Pants
Parents - your players received brand new football pants this year.  In order to keep them nice for many years to come, please do not wash them with fabric softener.

Over $16,000 was raised this year to support the Livonia Eagles!  This fundraiser helps to keep out of pocket expenses down for our Livonia Eagles families as well as provides the needed funds for helmets, pads, uniforms, and much, much more!  Thank you for everyone's participation!

Homecoming
We are looking for a few volunteers to join the Homecoming Committee.  We will need help hanging banners the night/ morning of, decorating the bleachers, cups in the fence etc.  If you wish to participate please attend the KEY Volunteer meeting this Friday. 

This years theme is DISCO.  If you ordered a banner from the picture day company, those are in, and will be put up around the track for Homecoming.  If you did not order a poster/ banner you still have time to create your own.  In the past families have had good luck with Vistaprint, Overnight Signs & Banners on 5 Mile and Staples.  All banners need to be dropped at the POD by Sept 20.  Look for information from your coaches and Team Moms regarding floats and decorations.  We are in need of trucks and trailers for each squad and convertibles of our 8th graders. During each halftime our cheerleaders will be performing a pom routine.  The first parade will be prior to start of the freshman game and then at each halftime after that.  Keep in mind - your player might not be able to participate during the halftime of their game as coaches need that time to coach their team prior to the 2nd half.  That means if your player wants to participate in the parades- they will either need to come early or stay later in order to participate.  The ceremony for the outgoing 8th graders and their families will be prior to start of the JV game. Parents will need to gather on the track at the beginning of the 4th quarter.  If you are the parent of an 8th grade football player and did not get an email from Laura Denio please check Sports Engine and get her the requested information ASAP.
